Some charts are very generic and do not match real measurements at all. Now I am more careful with impulse buys and limited time offers. Of course we all have different taste, but patterns still appear in long discussions. Footwear is even harder because different brands cut shoes very differently. Forums, blogs and communities create a kind of collective memory for shoppers. Comfort around the heel and toes is more important than super fancy design.
If anyone is interested in real user experiences, I sometimes write short notes about the shops I test.

Jewelry is another category where quality can be very different from photos. A product that still looks good after a few months is more impressive than something only good on arrival. I recently tried a few different online shops and wanted to share my experience. This is why I like reading and posting on forums and community websites. Good stitching usually means the item will not fall apart after one or two washes. Good packaging and a small storage bag are also nice touches for accessories. Personally I like a mix of design, comfort and realistic pricing. I do not trust only the star rating, I like to see detailed photos and longer comments.
Maybe this is useful for someone. |
